Echoes of words

Oh sweet dreamers,

How I cradle those words like a baby and sing candied lullabies into existence

I hear the passion squirt from your letters

Feel the struggle shape shift into sentences, but like you they are just wondering in a pool full of hash tags and suicide notes.

And don’t be so concerned with your words being censored,

We need not forget it’s not our words but our actions that leave footprints tattooed on concrete floors.

How we web our way in and out of situations like spider-man not knowing whether we are Miles Morales or Peter Parker

Like our words that don’t matter, at the end of the day

They are still saving lives
